A well established elevator service provider is seeking a Licensed Elevator Mechanic to support service, repair, and maintenance operations throughout the Chicago area. This role is ideal for a safety focused, customer oriented mechanic who delivers reliable, code compliant elevator service.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and corrective maintenance on elevator equipment
Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and complete necessary repairs
Conduct safety checks, inspections, and performance evaluations
Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment on site
Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records
Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding findings and recommendations
Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and job site safety procedures
Licensed Elevator Mechanic (state recognized certification or equivalent)
Experience in elevator service, repair, or maintenance
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently in the field
Knowledge of elevator safety codes and industry standards
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces as needed
Strong communication and customer service skills
Full time, Monday Friday
